THE COMPANY/OPPORTUNITY. My client is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and delivering life-transforming therapies. They are seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath on a 12-month contract on a generous daily rate. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company in the Midlands, easily commutable to Galway, Dublin and the Mid-West and where the work that you do will truly make a difference to people's lives. THE ROLE. Work independently, or with third party system integrators, to configure and implement all automation systems in my client's facility. Provide automation expertise to the engineering and operations department on design and sustaining decisions. Ensure all automation systems are delivered and maintained in a compliant and qualified state. Provide support for all validation activities. Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure a high level of optimization for all equipment. Assist in training personnel on specific automation aspects of equipment. Design and implement solutions across various automation platforms in line with the automation/site change control procedures. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU: Have direct experience maintaining controls networks and communications by Profibus and worked with Siemens PLC's/platforms and Wonderware. Have worked within a pharmaceutical environment with a proven track record (greater than 5 years) in working and delivering automation projects within both a projects and sustaining environment. Have Experience of implementing change controls and investigating deviations/events. Hold a B.S. Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent. INTERESTED ?
