GOAL is a global humanitarian aid charity that has helped tens of millions of people across 60 countries over the last 40 years. They are now seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their established Logistics & Procurement team in Dun Laoghaire. In this exciting role, you’ll take on a diverse workload that will enable GOAL to help those who need it most. Your work will range from pharmaceutical purchases and construction to consulting services, agricultural inputs and food supplies, so no two days will ever be the same. As a Procurement Specialist, you will support GOAL’s procurement activities, both in Ireland and across the company’s country portfolio. This currently includes offices in 14 countries on 4 continents. Specifically, you will: - Manage national and international calls for tenders and RFQs. - Co-ordinate activities in-line with donor procurement policies and procedures. - Liaise with suppliers and manage relations for contracts, ensuring proper follow-up and tracking of spend. - Implement and report on supplier performance measures. - Support the continuing development of internal procurement policies and procedures. - Identify ways to improve existing operations. To be considered, you will need: - At least five years’ procurement experience. - The ability to produce reports for all levels of an organisation. - The ability to interact with data through multiple mediums, such as spreadsheets, to support procurement decisions. - A recognised procurement qualification, such as the IIPMM, CIPS or CILT, and at least three years’ post-qualified experience. Highly-organised and diligent, as a Procurement Specialist, you’ll have a great eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are also key. Ideally, you will have an understanding of relevant donor procurement regulations, but this is not essential.
