The Sheraton Athlone Hotel is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accommodation Manager. The Sheraton Athlone Hotel is a destination of choice for both the corporate and leisure guest. It has a number of food outlets including the very popular Harvest Cafe, the elegant and modern La Provence Restaurant and the Sheraton Bar - a lively, trendy and busy food and beverage outlet. The Sheraton Athlone Hotel has a full calendar of Conference & Banqueting events and Weddings throughout the year. We have 167 bedrooms comprising of a Presidential suite, penthouses, junior suites, delux and classic rooms.Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, the successful candidate will assist with the overall running of the Accommodation department together with and in the absence of the Accommodation Manager. Responsibilities and Duties. Allocating work duties & cleaning lists to Accommodation Assistants/ Porters on a daily basis. Carrying out routine inspections of all check out rooms and spot checks of all occupied rooms. Reporting and follow up on any maintenance defects or other issues. Oversees implementation of deep cleaning programs, maintenance reporting and follow-up. Conducting daily and weekly training to ensure compliance with standards. Ensuring all rooms & Front of House areas are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times. Liaising & communicating with Front Office and Reservations teams regarding room status. Qualifications and Skills. The ideal candidate will possess the following: At least 1 years' experience in an Assistant Accommodation Manager Role. Excellent customer service & communication skills. Be a good team leader. Excellent attention to detail. Good organisational & interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to work. Fluency in both written and oral English. Good IT skills.
