Our client is part of one of the world's leading insurers. In Ireland they provide sophisticated wealth management, savings, investments and employee benefit solutions to individual and corporate clients across Europe. On behalf of our client we are looking for an experienced Operations Team Leader who has a minimum of 5 years investment or insurer related experience and ideally looking for someone who is fluent in Italian or Spanish. Key Responsibilities; Manage the day to day processing of the Wealth Protection operations team, focusing on delivery of Service Level Agreements with external parties and developing key performance measurements for internal self-assessment. Manages and when necessary delegates all communication with Partners, Policy Holders & Outsourcing partners ensuring the Service Level Agreements (SLA) and interfaces meet required standards. Manages workflow systems to ensure team members have appropriate focus and all tasks and addressed as per SLA's. Provides oversight and control across several transactions for multiple markets - New Business/Topups/Surrenders/Administration/Amendments/Endoresements/Fee Collection. Authorisation of Administrator and Senior Administrator tasks. Adherence to 4 eye protocols and control requirements as well as looking at continuous improvement and process enhancement to negate risk. Oversees tax obligations for multiple jurisdictions. When required, sign-off on daily reconciliations of collection accounts. Monitors workflow, anticipates and manages any delays. Maintains department error log and utilises same for training purposes. Ensures resilience within the team and appropriate planning to adhere to BAU requirements on a weekly basis, and achieve project & department objectives as determined quarter by quarter. Act as an escalation point during the complaint handling process. Responsible for the daily mentoring, training and coaching of team of Administrators and Senior Administrators, ensuring that all staff members have identified goals and objectives feeding into the overall department & company goal set. Skills and Experience; Minimum of 5 year's investment or insurance operations related experience of which typically 3 years at Team Leader level. Relevant third level degree qualification in conjunction with a business/insurance specific professional qualification such as the QFA. Proven track record of leading, developing and mentoring a team, preferably within a multi-cultural environment. Ability to work under pressure and effectively delegate in order to meet tight deadlines while displaying strong attention to detail. Excellent communication, analysis and report writing and interpersonal skills. Experience in Anti Money Laundering, Due Diligence, and Consumer Protection Codes. Comprehensive knowledge of investment operations processes required. Knowledge and experience of investment products in an Insurance environment would be an advantage.
